I'm a girl who loves beauty products, even though I haven't always been very keen on them, so I decided to start a beauty blog, where I share beauty product reviews with others and tell you about both the worst and best beauty products out there, according to me.

I'm also hoping it will make beauty and makeup more fun, even for those who are not beauty addicts already.

On my wish list right now

In case you guys are looking for new products to buy, here is a list of some of the things I am currently lusting for myself:

- Rodial's 5 Minute Facial
I never thought such products would work very well, but after falling completely in love with the Bliss Steep Clean 15 Minute Facial (read more about why here), I would love to try some more home facial type of treatments.

- The Yes To Tomatoes Clear Skin line, like the cleanser.

I simply love organic products, and have been curious about this line for a while now. So getting the whole line would be great, since I love trying whole sets at once, but if in a pinch, just one of the products would be great too.

- Chanel's Quadra eyeshadow with several neutral shades.

Because I've always wanted to give Chanel products a try. The packaging of Chanel products must be the most luxurious in the world after all, so if the products are good too, they must be simply amazing! And isn't it so much more fun to pull out high end products like these out of your makeup box?

- A Chanel Rouge Coco Shine lipstick, in a neutral, useful every day shade.
For the same reason as the Chanel eyeshadows, really, just to try some Chanel products out.

Review: 4 Bliss FatGirlSlim products

As I mentioned in my previous post, I have been trying out quite a few Bliss products lately. One set that I ordered a while ago, was the FatGirlSlim pack with 4 different products in it:
- The FatGirlSlim cream, against cellulite
- The FatGirlSleep cream, also against cellulite, to be used at night, for a more long term effect than the regular FatGirlSlim cream
- The FatGirlScrub, to be used when you shower, to smooth your skin out a bit, and to combat cellulite as well
- The FatGirl Massage tool (not pictured) that you can use to massage any problem areas where you have cellulite to help get rid of it
Now, before I continue with this review, I should probably point out that I only have very mild issues with cellulite, on my thighs. Others say they don't even see this, but I do myself, so I think it may be possible that others, with more severe cases of cellulite, might see better and more visible results than me.

The first thing I should say about the pack that I got is that the products you get with this pack are way too small for you to be able to know if the products work or not, since results can only be seen after having used them for several weeks. So if you are interested in trying the Bliss FatGirlSlim range (for which they do recommend that you use all the products together), don't get this set, but go for the full size products instead!

I actually got two of the products in full sized versions after having tried the smaller versions myself.

The FatGirlSlim cream smells lovely, slightly mintish, and has a lovely texture. You are supposed to use this anti cellulite cream during the day, which works really nicely, since it sinks into your skin amazingly fast. I liked this cream a lot, but since I was using both this, the scrub and the night cream simultaneously, it is hard to say which one of them had the biggest impact.
But still, I liked this cream so much I decided to give it another try, in a full size version, because if you are going to use body lotion anyway, why not use one that fills another purpose than just moisturizing as well?

The FatGirlSleep is a similar cream, that you are supposed to use during the night, instead of in the day. This means the texture is slightly heavier and thicker than the one of FatGirlSlim, and it also has a nice lavender smell, perfect for night.
I got this cream in a full sized version as well, and do plan to keep using it for a while.

The FatGirlScrub was actually a lovely scrub as well, with a slight minty smell as well. I liked using it, but since I think it can be replaced with any other scrub as well, I decided not to get another jar of the scrub for now. But perhaps I will at some point...

The FatGirl Massage tool works nicely for massaging problem areas, but I think you might be able to replace this tool with something similar if you find it somewhere cheaper as well.

So my conclusion after having tried all 4 products is basically that you can replace the scrub and the tool with similar, nameless products if you want, but the creams are harder to replace.

So did the products work?
Yes, I do believe my skin got smoother. So they did have some effect. However, it took almost a month before I saw a big improvement, so if you do decide to use these products, I suggest you try to be as patient as possible. I should also add that the cellulite did not dissappear completely, but maybe it will get even better if I continue using them for longer?

So these are really interesting products to try, if you are looking for some kind of anti cellulite treatment. In all fairness, I must admit these are the first anti cellulite products I have tried myself, so I cannot really compare them to other, similar products just yet.

Review: Bliss Blood Orange + White Pepper Sugar Scrub

So, I have had a chance to try quite a few new Bliss products lately. But let's go through them one by one. First up:
The Blood Orange + White Pepper Sugar Scrub.
This scrub is a bit unusual compared to other scrubs in the way that it actually lathers up, which I am not used to, but it actually makes the scrub really nice to use.

The smell is nice, but not very exciting. But I guess that's a matter of taste as well? If you like citrus smells that are not too strong, this scrub may be a good choice for you.

Besides that, the scrub really does leave the skin feeling quite nice and smooth afterwards, and feels less rough to the skin when used than some other scrubs I have tried.

So if you are looking for a new scrub, I can definitely recommend giving the Blood Orange + White Pepper Sugar Scrub by Bliss a try. It does the job really well, despite being a bit of a bland product otherwise!

What I think of the new Chanel nail trend

One of the most talked about beauty trends right now is of course the "new French manicure" that was shown by Chanel in their Haute Couture Fall 2012 runway show. What Chanel basically did was to turn the basic French manicure around, so your nails look like this in the end:
I like it that a big fashion house is putting a lot of effort into coming up with a nail- and beauty related trend, but the look itself is not that exciting to me. I guess I'll try it, it's one of those things you feel you just need to try, but I doubt it will be something that I will do more than once. It does seem like a trend you could grow tired with pretty fast, after all.

Review: Instant Light Lip Perfector by Clarins

I love products for my lips, and I love a natural look on my lips as well. This is why I love the Instant Light Lip Perfector products by Clarins, they make your lips look natural, but better than they would be naturally, while they nourish and protect them at the same time.
So while I love lipglosses and lip balms (I've reviewed some here, here, here and here, for instance), a product that is kind of a combination of both must be the ultimate lip product, I think.

I had actually tried the Instant Light Lip Perfector before as well, and remembered that I really liked it when I saw this duo (two Lip Perfectors in a pack) on an airport recently, so I decided to buy this again. I got both shade 01 and 02, and I like them both equally. Both work wonderfully during the day, but may not be enough for a bit of sparkle at night. So if you are looking for something for your lips for the evening, the Instant Light Lip Perfector might not be the best choice, but it is absolutely perfect for the day!

Review: Fast remover by Laka

Lately, I have been going to Laka for my manicures and pedicures, and last time I went, I liked the nail polish they put on so much that I had to buy a bottle for myself as well. But I also liked a bottle of fast nail polish remover that they use before they start working on your nails, because it really removed the nail polish incredibly fast.
How this Fast remover by Laka works is that you put your finger into this bottle, where you will find a black sponge soaked in nail polish remover.

It sounds kind of weird, but it actually works really well, so I will definitely be using this at home as well from now on! Very highly recommended for those of you who do not want to spend a lot of time removing your nail polish, and happen to run into this product!

Review: L'Oreal Infallible foundation

I've always been rather picky with foundations, I expect a lot from them, and I expect them to stay as they were when I put them on for a really long time, even though I know that it not that reasonable. Because of this, I have tried many different foundations over the years (and some even rather recently, such as the MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation), and I have to admit, I am still looking for that perfect foundation.

But the good news is, I have found a foundation that comes pretty close to being perfect at least. And surprisingly enough, it comes from a brand I am normally not that fond of: L'Oreal.
I ended up buying not one, but two Infallible foundations when travelling recently, since I forgot my regular foundation at home, and couldn't figure out which shade I needed. So I got both 125 Natural Rose and 120 Vanilla, both of which work nicely on a pale blonde like myself, depending on if I got a slight tan or not.

And I am really happy I decided to try these L'Oreal foundations for a change. Because they actually stay put, if not for 16 hours, like promised, then for at least 10, which is pretty good in my book, especially considering that I have been wearing this foundation during the summer, in a really hot and humid climate. So I really put these foundations to a test!

So if you are looking for a flawless base, I definitely recommend trying Infallible foundations! I think they might work best on oily/combination skin (such as my own) though, even though it says on the bottles they suit all skin types.

Review: The Youth As We Know It Eye Cream by Bliss

I've mentioned what a big fan I am of Bliss products over and over again here on the blog. And because of that, I am always keen to try new Bliss products. Up until recently, I've been really happy with all the products I've tried, but when I decided to get the Bliss The Youth As We Know It Eye Cream, I was really dissapointed in this brand for the first time.

You see, this is an eye cream, yet it really makes your eyes burn, as soon as you apply it. At first I thought I might have applied way too much of the cream, so I tried again with a smaller amount. But nope, my eyes still burned, so I always had to wash my eyes instead of leaving it on. I've also tried applying the cream only really far from the eye itself (which is not really the point of an eye cream), but no matter how and where you apply this cream, it will make your eyes water and really hurt.

And nope, I don't have really sensitive eyes or anything like that, on the contrary even, I've never had any issues with eye creams before. Since eye cream is basically the only anti aging (this cream is from Bliss' The Youth As We Know It-anti aging line) product I use, I can't speak for Bliss' other anti aging products, but this eye cream is really useless. I will be throwing it away, without finishing even a small part of the jar I got.

So if you are thinking of getting this eye cream, I do think you should consider getting something else instead, especially since this eye cream is not that cheap (it retails for $75, but since I got mine online, I paid less) either.

My wishlist right now

Below you'll find a list of the products I want to try most at the moment:
- bareMinerals Ready Eyeshadow Quads

I know pretty much everyone is familiar by bareMinerals by now, but I still haven't tried any of their products. So I really should!
Plus, the colors are great for a natural, yet polished look.

- Dior Addict Lip Glow Color Awakening Lip Balm
Because I love Dior products, especially the ones for the lips, and the color looks like something I would like.

- Elemis FreshSkin Skin Clear Purifying Facial Wash
Elemis is another skin care brand I haven't had the chance to try yet, and who would say no to clearer skin?

- Cowshed Spearmint Exfoliating Sea Salt Scrub

Because I am really into scrubs right now (I love how my skin feels after!), and a spearmint one sounds really interesting. Plus, I want to try some Cowshed stuff too!
